regarding Order Entry Schema

hi all, any of you can tell me that from where can i download order entry schema (should be used in 10g XE in sql or zip formate) as it is necessary schema for the preparation of 051 exam. i just try this http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a96539/scripts.htm#26747 but here is missing a file named oc_popul.sql which is required while popluating tables. if we talk about mysql they give vry simple way to populate the database in script files and also they are easily downloaded individually. i searched for OE SCHEMA at oracle website approx for 3 days but i didn't find any useful link or script files except that i mentioned above. i requested to oracle orgnization that they have to provide the script files of mentioned schemas for new oracle versions.

regards

The schema objects and data can not be downloaded. It is part of the standard install if you check the checkbox.

It is no longer installed by script but rather by transportable tablespace.

    Dan - 2 minor points:

    1) He's asking about the one for XE. (It's stripped down from the one we are used to - it's part of the tutorial)
    2) For EE/SE - if you miss installing as part of the dbca, you can add it using the scripts on the Companion disk

    Kh@l3d

It should have been included as part of the tutorial. It's fairly tricky to get the OE schema from the Companion CD specifically for the Express Edition. You would be better off getting the Enterprise Edition and creating a database with the samples installed. If you wanted to, you could then export the OE schema and import it into XE.

well u all respected persons thank's for replies; i know that it (oe script) must be contained in compained cd and other version as were mentioned. i just want to say that oracle do available on their official website so persons like me who can not afford trainings and whom they tried on their own (self studies) can easily download that schemas easily just like do mysql do.

On the Companion only for the larger version.

If it is for learning, and you have sufficient hardware, then you are allowed to get the larger version free of charge at http://otn.oracle.com

But XE includes tutorials and the sample data already. You must work through the samples that are provided - the first step is to install the samples and that gives you the data you seek.

FOr XE, samples and tutorial are available at http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/xe/index.html - see 'Getting Started' at bottom of page.

Hi, pls have you been able to find the OE schema? I m also using XE, have browsed thru the "Getting Started" as suggested but not yet found how to access it in XE (like the 'HR') or a link to download it.

Thanks so much!! These scripts are working! I had the same problem, installed 11XE, nut only had the HR schema, not the OE. And my exam guide is referring to the OE schema.
    greetings,

I already installed Express Edition, but it doesn't contain the OR schema, but the HR schema only.

So I am triying to install it separetly into the existing XE installation. I hope this works anyway?

The install guide mentions oe_main.sql, where can I obtain this script?

And the installation of the whole package win32_11gR2_examples obviously doesn't work with the XE edition. I have tried it several times, too.

    Hello,

Did you succeed installing OE schema?
    I've the same problem.

    i've read the
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e10831/installation.htm#sthref22

and we have there "All scripts necessary to create the Order Entry (OE) schema and its Online Catalog (OC) subschema reside in $ORACLE_HOME/demo/schema/order_entry."

I've installed express edition from here
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/products/express-edition/downloads/index.html

and after installation in my folder
    C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\demo\schema
    i've only HR schema scrips.

    can anybody help me?

The oracle develper days vm contains the oc subschema only?! It seems to be dead complicated to get the order entry schema. So I am going to buy another book, wich depends on a different example. Seems to be easier :-)
but I'm going to start a new question first, because this one is marked as answered and not up to date.
