In ATG Migration involves two major steps:
1. Make database changes to make your previous DB compatible with new ATG version.
a. Add/Modify tables
b. Update/modify the DB data
c. Migrate the data into new tables
2. Make code changes to our customized code if necessary.
For #1, you need the intermediate ATG version to do a) and b) tasks like running StartSQLRepository or importRepository etc.
For #2, you do not require the intermediate ATG version.
So in your case you may need ATG10.0 and ATG10.1 based on the data scripts you run.
Once migration is complete you can install ATG10.1.1 directly and use for code development.
If you are on ATG 9.4, then the recommended approach is
9.4 > 10.0.3 > 10.1.1
As of know i dont see any direct migration to 10.1.1. I have seen issues in directly migrating to 10.1.1.
Can you please help me understand if migration from ATG 10.1 to ATG10.1.1 is a just a direct install and run as there is no database changes between both the release.
Yes, its direct installation!
I am also not able to see ATG 10.1.1 release at https://edelivery.oracle.com.
The latest release available for download seems to be ATG 10.0.3.
Can somebody help?
Thanks in advance!
There is no installation available for 32 bit version.
Select 64 bit installation and download the latest version 10.1.2.
My guess would be the 64 bit version should work in your 32 bit machine.
i see only Today(10.1.2) - ATG downloads, Can some one provide information on ATG 10.1.x... downloadables where can i get. ...
Even we are looking for upgrade ATG from 9.1/2 to ATG 10.
Please suggest me your opinions if someone recently done that...
As i am seeing others replies... they suggested to go for upgradation in two steps... like
first 9.1 ---> 10.0.3
and then 10.0.3 -- 10.1/10.1.1...
Your ontime suggestions are most valuable for us...
The migration steps to either 10.1 or 10.1.2 are same.
So install 10.1.2 and follow the migration steps for 10.0.3 to 10.1
You can download the ATG 10.1.x from https://edelivery.oracle.com.
If you want to migrate from ATG9.1/9.2 to ATG10.1.X. Better to follow the two way approach.
First migrate to ATG10.0.3 from ATG 9.1/9.2. then from ATG 10.0.3 to ATG 10.1.X
