    backup archivelogs from different location

    988012
      DB : 10.2.0.4
      OS : HEHL5

      due to space issue i moved the archived to different location from log_archive_dest_1.
      is it possible to backup the archivelogs from different location as i moved them?

      Thanks.

          You code use allocate channel to move your backup to another disk like the following
           ALLOCATE CHANNEL disk1 DEVICE TYPE DISK FORMAT 'C:\new-location';
          backup archivelog all delete input
          how archivelog get full ? please share with us your script are you using the command above to backup your archive . do you have deletion policy

            If you are using Recovery Catalog, you can mention that new location in the catalog with the command catalog start with /new/location . After that those files can be backed up.

              Osama,

              I don't think that OP wants to move the archive log backup to a different location but want to do the backup of those archived logs which are moved to a different location other than the default location.

              Aman....
