Hi all.
I'm on forms 11g 11.1.2.1.0

I'm configuring my form and when I try to run it I have this error:

FRM-92052: unable to connect to server at URL /forms/servlet;

I have start up weblogic server and everything is ok.

When I try to run my form I have the error.
How can I solve it?
Thanks all for collaboration,
Fabrizio

    Hi

    First we need to know if the server run successful, so use the following link [http://localhost:YOUR_PORT/forms/frmservlet?config=XXXX|http://localhost:YOUR_PORT/forms/frmservlet?config=XXXX]
    Is the message appear Installed successfully .

    You can show this link

    Allright, let's start from the beginning; I am assuming you installed forms 11gR2 in development mode which means you need to start up the AdminServer to run your forms.

    - You started the AdminServer, and it says it is started in RUNNING mode
    - What Version of the Java Plugin did you install?
    - the JPI_MIMETYPE and JPI_CLASSID in the formsweb.cfg are configured according to your installed Java Plugin?

    e.g.
    jpi_classid=clsid:CAFEEFAC-0016-0000-FFFF-ABCDEFFEDCBA
    jpi_mimetype=application/x-java-applet
    will allow you to run forms with any 1.6x Java Plugin in internet explorer and any plugin with e.g. firefox.

    Now you could call

    http://localhost:7001/forms/frmservlet

    in your browser. does the testform come up? If not maybe your browser is blocking the java plugin (a habit shortly introduced by some browsers as a reaction of some major security issues with the java plugin).

    cheers

    I checked if values are as you described and they are.
    I run the form using this link:

    http://localhost:7001/forms/frmservlet

    but unfortunately I have the same error:

    FRM-92052: unable to connect to server at URL /forms/lservlet

    Hi Fabrizio,
    Can you check one think.. Does your port is the right one ?
    Go <developer_home>\install
    find the file portlist.ini and open it
    What is the HTTP port ? Is it
    77001
    If not, what you get the file is your right port number and url should be
    http://localhost:<port_no>/forms/frmservlet
    Hope it helps to solve the problem

    Does your machine also have 10g Installed as well?

    If you have both version installed, then you are probably running into the issue described in this support note:
    Form Hangs with FRM-93550, Frm-92052 When 10gR2 and 11g Installed on Same Windows Machine (Doc ID 948695.1)

    Solution

    NOTE: The following workarounds have been found to work with both 10gR2 and 11g forms but have not been exhaustively tested. Additionally, the workarounds may work with other 10gR2/11g combinations of products but have not been tested. Test the proposed solutions thoroughly,especially if you are dealing with a production environment.

    Workaround #1

    1. To run 10gR2, include only 10Gr2 related directory entries in the system
    path and reboot the system.
    2. To run 11g , include only 11g related directory entries in the system path
    and reboot the system.

    See Note 1354732.1 for explicit details on how to do this.

    Workaound #2 - Running 11g

    Warning: Renaming Oracle Homes is not recommended by Oracle. This workaround has been found to work but is not recommended or supported by Oracle nor is it guaranteed to work in every instance.

    1. Stop all 10gR2 services and all 11g related services and processes.

    Use the Windows Task manager and verify that there are no10gR2/11G processes running. If unsure which processes are related to 10gR2/11G, set any 10gR2\11g related services to manual and reboot

    2. Open Windows Explorer and rename the physical 10gR2 home directory.

    The workaround helps because we have renamed the ORACLE_HOME directory for 10g R2 which makes PATH references on the Operating System level no longer valid. Therefore, when you start the 11g managed server it does not find the 10gR2 environment.

    3. Restart the appropriate Managed Servers - WLS_FORMS & WLS_REPORTS

    4. You should be able to run 11g Form and Reports now.

    5. You can reverse these steps if you wish to run 10gR2, i.e.,'

    a. Stop all processes.

    b. Rename the 10gR2 ORACLE_HOME to its original name and the11g ORACLE_HOME to a different name.

    c. Start the 10gR2 related processes.

    I have the two directories with different names...

    For devsuite10g I have this physical path: C:\ORACLE\devsuite10g

    For forms11g I have this physycal path: C:\ORACLE\forms11g

    So Oracle homes are different...

    This is default.env 10g file
    ORACLE_HOME=c:\oracle\devsuite10g

    This is for default.env 11g file
    ORACLE_HOME=C:\ORACLE\forms11g\Middleware\Oracle_FRHome1

    How does your PATH variable look like? Is the 10g bin directory in front of the 11g bin directory? OC4J and weblogic seem to start simply frmweb.exe without a path, and in case the 10g Oracle Home is in front of the 11g Oracle Home you try to launch the 10g frmweb.exe.

    You could simply edit the setDomainEnv.cmd script located in %DOMAIN_HOME%/bin and add
    set PATH=<11g_ORACLE_HOME>/bin
    then restart the AdminServer and try again.

    cheers
