I am new to Informatica and trying to install one on my testing environment. I am facing an error now, please let me know if you have any solution to it.
I had installed Informatica Server and create a new Domain successfully. When I'm trying to create a Repository Service and choose "No content exists under specified connection string. Create new content.". It shows the following error to me: "The following error occurred while performing a repository action. Error - [PCSF_10007] Cannot connect to repository [BIA_RS] because [REP_51821] Repository Service is currently serve an Administrator, the Administrator running it as Exclusive mode - on computer. Repository [BIA_RS] not allow other login. Cannot connect to Repository Service [BIA_RS]". Some of the error message is translated from Chinese so might not exactly the message comes from the server.
If I create Create Content after the Repository Service is created, there is no error message show. Though, I cannot create Integration Service. It gave me the following error message:
"1. Repository Error [REP_57145]. Cannot find data in Database.
2. Repository Error [REP_55055]. Cannot retrieve data from Repository [BIA_RS] for user [administrator].
3. Repository Error (Cannot connect to Repository Service [BIA_RS]"
Is anyone know how to fix the error? thanks!!
I've had very similar troubles when installing 9.1... so the manual says to create repository service, then integration and then to restore the contents.. but I also did get msgs like yours and did the restore before the integration... But in my case I guess I was missing the set LC and LC_ALL... it seems that this has solved the troubles...
I created the tablespace with a database client tool and gave it unlimited and auto-extend. Since Im just installing it on a testing environment, I granted all Roles and System Privileges to the user BIA_RS which I created for Repository Service.
After I change my connection string from "orcl" to "ServiceName:1521/orcl", the first error message didnt show up somehow. Though, I still cannot create the Integration Service. And the error message is same as earlier. I used "Administrator/password" when it ask for the username/password of Repository Service login credential which is the username/password for login the Informatica Administrator.
Please let me know if you have any other suggestions, thanks!
Im wondering, is there any other logs i can take a look for figure the problem out? The message in Administrator is so less, I cannot even know what query or connection it is doing and cause the error...
I solved the problem...it turns out a weird problem. I created a new user says admin/admin. And I gave user the privilege for BIA_RS and Domain. Then I change my user for Integration from Administrator to admin. The services is start up now...
But can anyone explain it to me? Why I cannot use Administrator as the user for Integration Service??
