Problem with DESC command

Hello guys! I have a terrible issue to report:

Every time I do a desc command, it closes the console window...

like this

"desc aTable"

then it closes
if I change the user for the admin, it works.
First I though it was a permission problem. Then I created a synonym and did a "grant" command...
It still closes the window with the normal user...

Any ideas?

Kind Regards,

Fernando

Hi! So here is the print screen that will help you guys (and hopefully, me) to understand what is happening

So at this print screen, we see the user Sygno using the command Desc without problems.

This print is right before sending the command. After that it will close the window.

PS: In the second print, it says (in portuguese): "(Print before execute, because after execute it exit the SQL)"

You are in the wrong forum. This forum is about oracle forms. The tool you use is SQL*Plus. You might try this forum iSQL*Plus

Did you try to use someother tool and fire the same command

You are using 8.0.6.0.0 cleint, can you run the same commands on 9.2.0.8.0(the database) itself

    Try
    start>run>sqlplus - the command
Or use anyother tools like sqldevelope....

Thanks Andreas Weiden for the warning, I was a little lost here at the site. If any moderators can change the thread to the right place I will appreciate.

yoonus, I can't change the client... My company does not allow changes in the versions of the applications ... It has a whole bureaucracy, homologation, etc...

I know it will mess a bit... but I hope you guys can find a solution!

    Kind Regards,

    Fernando

    Woah! I find out:

It was a mess with the synonymous and the grant. They changed something in the database...
Well after giving grant to every synonymous and trying the "trial and error"process I made it... hehe

    Thanks everyone!

After some "trial and error" find out that was some mess with the synonymous and the grant.
