I installed Oracle 11g server on Windows 8 and had issues with my installation (it is not certified, I now know). Tried to de-install it using the Universal Installer, but no luck. So, saw another thread advising the use of deinstall.bat. Am running it. It has done some steps but is now asking me to: Specify all Single Instance listeners that are to be de-configured [LISTNER]: . It is still waiting for input and I have no clue.
Would appreciate any advice. Thanks a lot.
Use defaults if you are unsure - press the ENTER key when prompted (for defaults).
One option is to create a Linux VM on your Win 8 machine and install 11gR2 in the Linux VM - pl see my blog (linked in my profile) for detailed steps
As you mention win8 is not certified platform. You may try to remove Oracle software by following:

For your issue as mention here you can create linux or windows vmmachine than you can try installation on it. For linux you can use OEL linux which you can download from e-delivery site freely.
If you make search you can find many good link which explain to create vm machine and installation
