At Value field Click Triangle icon and then you see there is Limited Values besides other options.
In the Prompt you might expand the Options to see that.

when I click on the triangle icon, there's no "Limited Values" option.
In the "Edit Prompt" window, I can see the "Limit values by" select box which just lists other prompts, but that's not what I need. I waht the prompt to show only those values which would satisfy report's filter conditions.
Am I looking at the right stuff?
If I'm not wrong this can be seen in Criteria tab->Column filter->At Value field Click Triangle icon

Oh I see what you mean. You're talking about the column filter. But it's not actually what I mean.
I mean that it 10g when you click not Criteria tab, but Prompts tab - that's where you can create what they call "Column Filter Prompt". And in that tab you can bring up the "Column Filter Prompt Properties" window and select "Limited Values". Hope I now made it clear what I needed.
For User Input type List,Check and Choice list you can find that option and I think this would show 250 records or less based on the record count.
Thanks for the reply, Srini. Do you remember where that option is? I can see the "Limit values by" checkbox with attached select box, but the only choice it offers is to limit by another prompt (if you have several prompts). I don't see any way to limit by a filter that already exist in the request. Thanks!
