Can we load XSD file insted of XML file

Hi,

I want to know , can we load xsd file instead of xml file in bi publisher to generate report.

Normally we can create RTF file in ms word and load xml file i.e. data , when we preview as PDF we get PDF output format report.

And mapping between xml tags and rtf fileds is like <?element?>.

But my question is , can we load .XSD data file instead of .XML data to generate report.?

If yes then what is mapping between field and xsd elements like xml and RTF fileds?

Please if any one know this , help me.

Thanks,
Sunil Mane

    not instead of
    it's may be additionally
xsd is not data. it's description http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XML_Schema

when you create data template you add "Data Template" file (it's how you get data for report. it's sql statement) and you can add "XML Schema" file
for preview you add "Preview Data" file with sample data

    so

    instead of - no
    additionally - yes

you can add only xsd file to definition of data template if data com from fnd_file.put_line(fnd_file.output, '.....') but it's also equal xml+xsd not only xsd
