I am trying to implement the timeout feature in my workflow. I have mentioned the timeout on the notification as relative and the time is 3 mins. The transition of the timeout activity if the notification itself(The same notification should be sent again if it is timeout). But when I run the workflow the notification is sent only once. I was assuming that the notification will be sent again to the user after 3 mins. This does not happen. Can someone let me know how this can be done.
We are on R12.1.3
1. Ensure the workflow background process is scheduled to run timed out activities
2. A cancellation notification is sent only if the notification provides a result
3. Not directly related but it won't be a good practice to resend the same notification over again. Instead send a reminder notification. You can see how to do this with the sample diagram provided in the Workflow Developer's guide page 10-10.
