I see some seeded XML reports. Did you check the below -
ConcurrentProgram:PYUSDEPADVXML - US Deposit Advice (XML)
Report:PAYUSCDA.RDF - Archive Check Writer/Deposit Advice Report (US)
ConcurrentProgram:PAYARCHCHQW - US Check Writer (XML)
You can covert the Output type of any RDF report to XML and then use the Xml Report Publisher to merge the XML with a custom template.
Thanks Vigneswar...Yes, I did check those. But I am struggling on how to merge the XML with the custom template. As I understand, I need to find the seeded version of XML, modify it to include the additional fields and then add those fields to the template as well. But I cannot find the seeded version of XML. Any idea where to find it or am I following an incorrect approach
I am not too well versed with the US loc.
Can you check these -
NOTE:783942.1 - How to Register Custom BI Publisher Templates for Use with Oracle XML-based US Payroll Reports
Oracle Human Resources (HRMS) Set Up for US Legislative Checkwriter (XML) and Deposit Advice (XML) [ID 459306.1]
When it comes to customizing the check writer, I guess oracle only allows to customize the template but not the underlying RDF(data source). May be his question was which RDF(data source) is behind the seeded check writer process and what if he either wants to verify/modify/create the data source. Let me know if I understood correctly.1 person found this helpful
Yes, Ram....that was my question..since we cannot modify the seeded RDF, is there a way to achieve this differently..probably as Vignesh suggested, I need to convert this to XML but I am not sure of the approach...any inputs?

In a test instance, change the output type of the seeded report to XML from RDF and you should get the XML output.
Usually all the data you need should be present in the XML. If not generally there would be a provision to add you own data source(not sure about the US ones, but we have done this for Online Payslip). Check - Re: PAYUSCDA.rdf , how does it get called from Check writer
So all you need is to tailor your RTF template to pick all the data you need.
If you're not able to get the required info, then I'm afraid SR is the only option.
Thanks Vignesh..I guess that might work for me.
I'll try this and post a message for others to know if this works
