That will not be easy. There is no way to convert the JSF and/or ADF rich client tags to a feasible desktop ui technology.
What have you planed to use a ui technology (swing, fx, ...)?
What have you planned for hte model part of the application. Web apps run this part on a server.
You may want to investigate java web start...
UI technology: ADF Swing and
Modal would be same as that of the Web apps(i.e on the server.)
Any links for follow up.
Thanks in advance.
ADF Swing is deprecated (see https://forums.oracle.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=1617). I would not go this way.
Can you tell us why you would do this?
I just thought of it.(as i was using Jdev 188.8.131.52).
I was following this link
My main aim is to develop a Desktop application using ADF.
I want to utilize the nice declarative approach in Jdev.
UI part i am not sure what to use.
But the Modal part as i previously said, in the Server.(same as Web apps)
In any case you have to rebuild/redesign of the UI. There is no way to migrate the UI from faces to swing. You should try out if you like the experience developing the UI in swing.
And think about help if you need help or a patch. There would not much help available.
Need an advice ,should i develop a Desktop Application in ADF or not.
From your reply i see that developing ADF Desktop application is bit difficult and there is no much help available neither.
Should i prefer other technology?
We can't decide this for you. We don't know enough about your use case.
Why don't you give it a try and get some experience yourself.
Then you have to decide if you want to use ADF Swing, which force you to remain on jdev 11.1.1.x
