      Hi experts,

      BUG DESCRIPTION
      ---------------
      This patch fixes the Web Report Review functionality to work correctly with the
      WebDB 2.5 listener.

      SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS (scripts, prerequisites, etc.)
      --------------------
      This patch contains one or more driver files to be applied with AutoPatch.
      Please apply the driver files in the following order (if they exist) :
      c1301917.drv (This is the copy driver)
      d1301917.drv (This is the database driver)
      g1301917.drv (This is the generate driver)

      This patch should be applied on the tier running the WebDB 2.5 listener.

      AFTER APPLYING THE PATCH:
      Web Report Review needs to be able to locate an FNDFS entry in the tnsnames.ora
      file accessible to it. After the Rapid Install is complete, $TNS_ADMIN for this
      environment points to the network/admin directory under the WebDB 2.5
      ORACLE_HOME. The tnsnames.ora file in this directory does not contain this
      entry.
      This can be corrected by either:
      1. Adding the entry to the existing tnsnames.ora file. See the documentation on
      setting up Web Report Review for details on creating this entry. The
      tnsnames.ora file in the 8.0.6 ORACLE_HOME should also already contain this
      entry.
      2. Setting TNS_ADMIN to point to another location, that contains a tnsnames.ora
      file with the correct entry. This variable is set in the environment file for
      the WebDB 2.5 home. See the Rapid Install notes for the location of this
      file.
      Modify the TNS_ADMIN location in this file and restart the WebDB listener.

      Later versions of the Rapid Install will automatically create this entry.

      Now my question is I AM NOT UNDERSTANDING WAT THE STEPS I HAVE FOLLOW...BECAUSE THE PATCH IS NOT IN GENERIC FROM,THERE IS NO 'U' DRIVER FILE IN THAT.
      ONLY 'C' DRIVER FILE IS HERE.aFTER APPLYING THE PATCH WAT THAT ABOVE TWO STEPS HAVE TO DO FOR MY ENEVEROLMENT.
      PLEASE SUGGEST................thanks in advance.....

          Hi,

          Ask your developer, what is the issue? and from where did he get this patch?
          Now my question is I AM NOT UNDERSTANDING WAT THE STEPS I HAVE FOLLOW...BECAUSE THE PATCH IS NOT IN GENERIC FROM,THERE IS NO 'U' DRIVER FILE IN THAT.
          ONLY 'C' DRIVER FILE IS HERE.
          Previously, in 11i patching was done using copy, database and generate driver files.
          Some patches only needed c driver to be applied, some only c,g and some c,d,g....

          aFTER APPLYING THE PATCH WAT THAT ABOVE TWO STEPS HAVE TO DO FOR MY ENEVEROLMENT.
          After applying the patch, you have to make sure that 8.0.6 ORACLE_HOME tnsnames.ora contains entry like
          FNDFS_MYTEST=
                  (DESCRIPTION=
                          (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=mytest.abc.com)(PORT=1628))

                      )
                  )

          FNDFS_CLONE_Mytest.abc.com=
                  (DESCRIPTION=

                      )

            Patch 1301917 is old (from 2000) is already included in the 11.5.10.2 maintenance pack and does not need to be applied separately if you are already on 11.5.10.2. What is the issue that this patch is supposed to solve ?

              This patch is included in 11.5.7 maintenance pack and above, so it must be already applied in your 11.5.10.2 instance -- Please query AD_BUGS table to verify.

              Thanks,

                        Yes, the patch is already applied and you do not need to apply it.

                        Please ask your developer for the reason he/she needs to apply this patch. And, if this patch was suggested by Oracle support, please update the SR with the same.

                        Thanks,
                        Hussein
