What OS are you running and how are your attach points configured? I suspect your tape devices are no longer on the same /dev/sg.
This is on Windows Server 2003. Only the Raid Controller Adapter card was changed.

Send the output from "lsdev -lvg". Also confirm you can see your library/tapes in device manager?

Yes, the library/tape is visible on device manager.
Go through the device setup again to recreate the attach points, that should correct whatever is wrong with the configuration.
