Can you please elaborate the requirement.
Thank you for your reply.
From emcli command 'publish_event' we can publish a user-reported event to Enterprise Manager. We are writing plug-ins for OEM and we are using Adobe flex builder and Metadata Plug-in Custom User Interface (MPCUI) for plug-in development.
Our question is, is it possible to publish a user-reported event to Enterprise Manager. (As we are doing it from 'publish_event' command)
Thanks in advance.
From the section 18.9 Events Views of Oracle® Enterprise Manager Cloud Control Extensibility Programmer’s Reference 12c Release 2 (188.8.131.52) (E25161-07), we understand that the events can be retrived from the views specified in the above section. But still looking for how to publish an event from plug-in.
Thanks in advance.
What is the usecase here? The user reported event is meant for end-users to publish events and not for plugins per se.
Please provide details of the events that you plan to publish. thanks.
The usecase here is, we want to raise an event from our plug-in page. And that event should be visible in the Incident Manager.
Hope I am clear.
Thanks in advance
What is the nature of this event? Please provide details of the issue you are trying to report on.
Sorry for making confusion about event/log. I want to raise logs from my plug-in.
Our plug-in is trying to invoke web services from some other servers. We want to log the success/failure/information message about this. Is it possible using MpLog class. We found logError and log function in this class. But the logs messages are not appearing anywhere in the OEM. Not in Enterprise Manager > Monitoring >Incident Manager or Enterprise Manager > Monitoring > Logs.
We need the logs generated from our plug-in in either Enterprise Manager > Monitoring >Incident Manager or Enterprise Manager > Monitoring > Logs. Is it possible? How can we do that?
Hope I am clear now. Please help.
I would not recommend using events for this purpose. This is a pure logging issue.
I am not familiar enough with LogViewer to comment on whether that'll fit your needs.
I think its writing to some where when we use MpLog functions for logging. Any body know the location of the log from thirdparty plugin?

The Log Viewer functionality is Not MPs which are being build on top of EM 184.108.40.206 (PS1) EDK.
This functionality is recently included and will be available on MP development framework from EM 220.127.116.11 (PS2).
