Sounds like there may be a firewall between the client and server OR the server name is not dns registered. Try using the server IP address and don't include any parameters in the url. For example:
By making "Windows Firewall Off", network PCs are accessing the application on server.
Is Windows Firewall must be off with every 11gR2 Form Applications ?
Generally speaking, Oracle recommends running OHS in front of WLS for Forms/Reports deployments. By doing this, you can easily use port 80 as the receiving port. This should eliminate the firewall issue in most cases. Further, there is no need to disable the Windows firewall. You simply need to configure a rule which allow whatever port you are attempting to access a path in and out.1 person found this helpful
The issue has nothing to do with the Oracle software. This is a configuration issue on your machine. If you are not familiar with creating rules or other firewall settings in Windows, I recommend contacting Microsoft or referring to their documentation:
I have added Port No. 9001 in the exception list of Windows Firewall, now application
is accessed by network PCs alongwith "Windows Firewall On".
Guide me if any other Port No. is to be added .
