I need a help, when i try to install Oracle Linux Entreprise 6 on a new HP proliant Server, i find problem, by making simple installation, the system dont detect HD, with intelligent provisionning it is the same problem.
How can i do to install it, i invalidate the Hard PB,because i arrive to install windows Server 2008 with Intelligent Provisionning.
Oracle Linux 6.2 or oracle Linux 5.8 this version of hp proliant dont use cd smart,it just get inteligent provisionning utility. i dont invalidate de hard, i want to say that it is not hardware problem because win2k8 serv install succed on it
That might be the problem. It should be in the Technical Specifications for your server whether it is 64-bit only. I suggest to try the x86_64 version and see if the problem persists. There shouldn't really be a valid reason to use a 32-bit system and 32-bit software though.
Hello, I test to install with oracle x86_64 version, but the problem Persit, no disc the detect with the boot procedure, other side with Intelligent provisionning it always the same issue.
Please i cant not advance until i get this issue, i need your help.
You might want to check the exact model and storage controller to see if it really matches. According to http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/linux/supportmatrix/oel/exceptions/oel-exceptions.html the HP Dynamic Smart Array B110i/B120i/B320i controller requires a close source driver from HP. I recommend to try Oracle Linux 6.3 x86_64, which might include the driver you need. Otherwise, contact HP. Or if you have a ULN subscription, contact Oracle Support.
