We have a package which fires a query into the timesten database and the inputs for the same are passed from the frontend (VB.NET).
The query being fired had aggregate functions and one of the fields in the group by statement was incorrect.
When tested from Test window , the package returns a NOT A GROUP BY expression.
When the same is fired from frontend this error leads to formation of cores on the timesten servers which increases the utilization and slows down the
entire application. Although its a SQL error , such an error should not cause a serious server issue like generation of a core in the timesten server.
