    I believe you are missing the point here. First, you must never make any object with any reserved name , especially something like DUAL which is a very special table. Second , all what is happening in your code is that you are using a sequence in the from section of the select command which is definitely not allowed as that's the place for a table.
    ORA-02201:
    sequence not allowed here
    Cause:      An attempt was made to reference a sequence in a from-list.
    Action:      A sequence can only be referenced in a select-list

    when select all sequence

    dual table is there in the sequence list

    select * from all_sequences

    dual is a reserved word ? I cannot find it, even I agree it is a special table....http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14072_01/appdev.112/e10830/appb.htm

    No, the dual table is most definately NOT listed in all_sequences. You have a sequence named DUAL. It is that sequence that is showing when you query all_sequences.
