will  there be any problem to install 11g ? (n my case , Some env variables are not set perfectly or missed )

If i get exact answer to trouble shoot my problem it will be good to me .
The exact answer on what you need to do to install Oracle, vis a vis this environment variable and all other requirements, is spelled out in the very fine [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e24321/toc.htm]Installation Guide.

I am not sure I understand what you do not understand. What I posted means that for each version of Oracle like 10.1, 10.2, 11.2 etc ... on each platform AIX, HP-UX, Linux, and Windows 2008R2 Oracle has a unique installation manual and in that manual it identifies all environment variables that need to be set and how the variables need to be set. Also some Oracle products require the parameter so without knowledge of the Oracle version, platform, and all Oracle products in use any posted answer might be wrong for your exact environment.

The echo shows no resuts because LD_LIBRARY_PATH is not set.

Please  apologize me  for basic  question ..  ..  Google not answered.
    I am getting bit confused with Oracle Inventory group (oinstall ) ;
    so , oracleInventory=oinstall

why we  tried to change  to same group ?   i.e. (orainventory=oinstall)
I  am  confusing  with only by name  and not by oraInventory  functionality ..

    When executing orainstRoot.sh script ;

    +# /u01/app/oracle/oraInventory/orainstRoot.sh+
Changing permissions of /u01/app/oracle/oraInventory  to 770.
Changing groupname of /u01/app/oracle/oraInventory to  oinstall.

    MY_REF_DOCS : This link says about ( oinstall )

Exactly what is your question? You just create the OS groups Oracle tells you to create prior to install and run the install as specified in the manual. The installation will set the various directory and file ownership and permissions as part of the install which should be run using the Oracle software owner.

    Thanks Mark.

I will install Oracle once again. I will back after oracle installation
    product is 10g R2
    OS : Redhat 5
Now no need to continue this topic.

    Some other questions during installation

    Exactly what is your question?

    when executing oraInstRoot.sh ,
Changing groupname of /u01/app/oracle/*oraInventory to oinstall*.

Oinstall is a group. It owns orainventory directory to maintain installed products details in the machine.
However all products information is always maintained in orainventory directory.

What's the necessary changing group name from orainventory to oinstall. This is my exact question ..

The Oracle installation instructions do not create an OS group named orainventory, that would be a local modification. I recommend that you follow the guidelines in the installation manual. It helps prevent upgrade issues down the road.

Tim's information at ORACLE_BASE is pretty good, but it should NOT be used as a substitute for Oracle's own installation manual. The instructions in the manual are quite clear an explicit. Whenever you ask for help with an installation the assumption is that you are following the Installation Guide.

Learning how to look things up in the documentation is time well spent investing in your career. To that end, you should drop everything else you are doing and do the following:

    Go to [url tahiti.oracle.com]tahiti.oracle.com.

Drill down to your product and version.

    <b><i><u>BOOKMARK THAT LOCATION</u></i></b>

Spend a few minutes just getting familiar with what is available here. Take special note of the "books" and "search" tabs. Under the "books" tab (for 10.x) or the "Master Book List" link (for 11.x) you will find the complete documentation library.

Spend a few minutes just getting familiar with what <b><i><u>kind</u></i></b> of documentation is available there by simply browsing the titles under the "Books" tab.

Open the Reference Manual and spend a few minutes looking through the table of contents to get familiar with what <b><i><u>kind</u></i></b> of information is available there.

Do the same with the SQL Reference Manual.

Do the same with the Utilities manual.

You don't have to read the above in depth. They are <b><i><u>reference</b></i></u> manuals. Just get familiar with <b><i><u>what</b></i></u> is there to <b><i><u>be</b></i></u> referenced. Ninety percent of the questions asked on this forum can be answered in less than 5 minutes by simply searching one of the above manuals.

Then set yourself a plan to dig deeper.
    - Read a chapter a day from the Concepts Manual.
    - Take a look in your alert log. One of the first things listed at startup is the initialization parms with non-default values. Read up on each one of them (listed in your alert log) in the Reference Manual.
    - Take a look at your listener.ora, tnsnames.ora, and sqlnet.ora files. Go to the Network Administrators manual and read up on everything you see in those files.
    - When you have finished reading the Concepts Manual, do it again.

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime.
