Have you logged in as oracle user after logout from root or tried *# su oracle*

Check whether you have unzipped package in same folder.

            Hi Bala,

yes, i have unzipped in a single folders, and make it as iso file same as my solaris iso file but solaris iso file it worked.

I tried to login root and oracle user but they gave same error.

My db11_solaris_64.iso size is 2,500,259,840 bytes, is there any problem with this iso file or i will try to re-download and make a new iso file tonight.

            thanks for further advise.

Try to put your database zip file into solaris through ftp.

                Hi Bala,

I tried all your recommendation and checked all your pre-requirement and ftp are fine.

except SUNWi15cd is missing and not found on OS CD but the rest are ok, i dont think this package giving this kind of problem.

                #uname -a
                SunOS solaris10 5.10 Generic_147441-01 i86pc i386 i86pc

                #cat /etc/release
                Oracle Solaris 10 8/11 s10x_u10wos_17b x86

                #df -h look fine

                #prtconf -pv |grep Mem
                Memory size: 1536

                #cat /etc/system
                ..
                set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=4294967295
                ...
                # cat /etc/project
                user.oracle:100::oracle::project.max-file-descriptor=(priv,65535,deny);project.max-sem-ids=(priv,100,deny);project.max-sem-nsems=(priv,256,deny);project.max-shm-memory=(priv,4294967295,deny)

Thanks to advise me the next step.

xclock utility must succeed before OUI or dbca will work.

you need to connect to the DBServer by doing as below or the functional equivalent

                  ssh -X oracle@DBServer

when all is correct the DISPLAY variable will exist & support OUI.

                            Great :D

If you have time try install again in solaris.
