We have developed a batch program, which fetches the emails from a mailbox using javamail api (where protocol is pop3) and deletes the emails after reading them(by setting the delete flag true and closing the inbox folder). This process works fine when we try with "gmail" account, but when we connect to client's "Lotus Domino" server the program fetches the emails perfectly but it does not delete them after the processing. Hence it fetches every time all the emails from the inbox, even-though they were read before by the program.
Is there a different setting required for lotus Domino server? Is there a server setting required?
Kindly help in this case (this has become kind off showstopper).

It would be helpful to look at the protocol trace to see what's actually
happening between the client and the server. If the client is really
telling the server to delete the messages, and the server isn't deleting
the messages, that would be a bug in the server.
Thanks for the response,
When they configured the account with MS Outlook client, read the emails using POP3, it deleted the emails from server. Hence it gives a sign that sever is fine.
