Error in Forms

Dear All,

Database version: 11g
Forms Version: 10.1.2.0.2

I have built a simple form based on the employee table and i have included a download button. Form compiles fine, but when i run the form i get the below error.

FRM-40039: Cannot attach library webutil while opening form EMP_DWNLD

As this is forms 10.1.2.0.2 there was no need to configure WEBUTIL. I have attached this library to my Form, and the PATH is set in the registry and my default.env file as well.

I cant understand why this doesn't work. Please advice.

Thanks and Regards
Srinivas

    Hello Srinivas,
when attaching library in forms Click YES when asking for remove path.
And paste all your library .pll and .plx at
    <forums_home>\forms
    Hope this works..

    Hello Srinivas,
    Do u copy library at <home>/forms ?
do you click yes for removing path when attaching ?

Do you subclass webutil.olb in your forms ? If no check this link How to add object groups to a form ?

    Hi Hamid,

I have copied the entire library at <home>/forms.
I have clicked yes for removing path when attaching the webutil.pll.
I have sub classed webutil.olb in my form.

But i am still getting the same error :(. Please help.

I am running the form from my local system, is that a problem?

    Thanks and Regards

    Hi Srinivas

Open default.env file at forms/server folder.
add your library path at forms_path like,
assuming your all library are at <home>/forms folder, so add
    <home>/forms
    at FORMS_PATH
I am running the form from my local system, is that a problem?
    No

    Hope this helps

If you are going to run a form from the Forms Builder, you will have to modify the DEFAULT.ENV file and add the directory where your Library files exist to the FORMS_PATH entry. Additionally, I would add the directory where your forms exist to this path as well. This is where the runtime looks at the FORMS_PATH. Only the Forms Builder looks at the Registry FORMS_PATH.

    Hope this helps,

    Hi Craig,

Thanks for your response. I could get through the error of FRM-40039, i have done this by compiling the webutil.pll and generated the webutil.plx, and placed it in the same folder.

Now I am facing one more error :(:(:(. Now my form opens, but when i click on the download button it throws me the below error. Please advise.

    "oracle.forms.webutil.ole.olefunctions bean not found"

    Thanks and Regards
