Let say I have a value in the column as ItemInfoEBS, this value is filtered only when I give Complete value ItemInfoEBS or the ItemInfo...
But if I give EBS only the table does not show the row containing ItemInfoEBS.
This is the difference I am seeing... So it does not have complete searching capability?
if yes how to implement it?
Many Thanks In advance,

OK, the query by example uses the startwith operator by default. It adds a % to the value entered in the filter. You can try to enter a % in front. This should generate the needed like clause.
But, this is a real performance killer if you search big tables.
I guess an other possible way would be to bar the qbe on your own view criteria which users the contains operator.
Hi Timo, will the same work for ADF tree binding filter?
I have noticed that there is filtering feature available with tree binding. If I give the exact value for filtering attribute, it is working fine, but my requirement is to retain the rows having value for a specific column in table. How can I do this?
The use case is clearly mentioned here https://forums.oracle.com/thread/2559127
