    ora-12505

      Hi Guys,

      I am working in an environment where we we have oracle 11g working on server and have its own tnsname.ora file. In order to check some of dba features i have installed oracle 11g express addition as independent database on my client machine where i could access dba based operations. When i am trying to create a new schema within 11g express edition by using following commands, after creation when i am trying to access database then getting ora-12505 erro, listener does not know of SID given:
      create user abc identified by ghi;

      grnat connect, resource, dba to abc;
      after creating new schema, when try to connect even to system or sys it gives me above error mentioned, how would i be able to overcome this issue,

      Thanks in advance.

      Zaid
