When you are thinking that weblogic server is not using boot.properties file, what type of error you are getting in the log file?
I am not getting any error...but while starting the weblogic server just its prompting the user name and password...by that i came to know that boot.properties is not working.
Can check the "file type" for the boot.properties file. It should be properties not text type. If it is text type then weblogic server will not consider.
Mark if this helps.
Thanks for replay...will check it out and let u know.
create the new boot.propterties file and delete the existing one.
Also don't copy this files from another location.
Hi, the best way to check that the boot.properties is working is to create a new file with username and password in plain text.
Once the server starts properly, the logs will display a statement like "Reading boot.properties".
Open the file post server start and the values will be encrypted and that is a confirmation that the boot.properties is being used by the server.
