        I already have following.

        oracle@hmf-hrm-001:/usr/bin> ls -l cc
        lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 7 Nov 21 12:32 cc -> gcc-4.3

        oracle@hmf-hrm-001:~> whereis cc
        cc: /usr/bin/cc /usr/bin/X11/cc /opt/gcc295/bin/cc /usr/share/man/man1/cc.1.gz

        oracle@hmf-hrm-001:~> echo $PATH
        /usr/bin:/data/rel12/apps/tech_st/10.1.2/bin:/data/oracle/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/games:/usr/lib/mit/bin:/usr/lib/mit/sbin

        I was told do followng by oracle support.

        replace the following line under the Linux section of the $AD_TOP/bin/adrelinknew.sh:
        CPP_LDFLAGS=' -L$(ORACLE_HOME)/lib -L$(ORACLE_HOME)/lib/stubs -lclntsh'
        with
        CPP_LDFLAGS=' -L$(ORACLE_HOME)/lib -L$(ORACLE_HOME)/lib/stubs -lclntsh -Wl,--noinhibit-exec'

        and run adrelink again.

        Do i have to re-run adpatch against merged patches or just run adrelink.sh?
        The other adpatch window is still on and I did not exited out of it.

          Run adrelink only.
          The other adpatch window is still on and I did not exited out of it.
          Continue with the patch session after you run adrelink successfully.

                  Please issue this command before you try adrelink.sh script:

                  $ export PATH= /usr/bin:$PATH

                  You may need to add this to your .bash_profile later to avoid setting it manually each time you need to run a utility that needs to use cc executable file.

                  Thanks,

                    It was there.

                    Earlier /usr/bin/cc was pointing to gcc.4.3 which does not exist there.

                    I did this and adrelink.sh ran fine.

                    hmf-hrm-001:/usr/bin # rm cc
                    mf-hrm-001:/usr/bin # ln -s /usr/bin/gcc /usr/bin/cc
                    hmf-hrm-001:/usr/bin # ls -l cc
                    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 12 Feb 19 13:55 cc -> /usr/bin/gcc
                    hmf-hrm-001:/usr/bin # which cc

                    Started applying Merged patches.

                    Thanks.

                                    What is the impact?

                                    I have backup taken before this patch was applied.
