Hi - wonder if someone could please answer this, I have a number of non global zones that all have their /logs folder set as a file system within the global zone as such:
raw not specified
If I want to remove this association would it simply be a case of carrying out the following steps:
1) shut zone down
2) zonecfg -z <zonename>
3) remove fs, verify, commit
4) move contents of /logs/zones/tdukwbprepz01 to <zonepath>/logs/
5) boot the zone
Thanks - Julian.
As you found, what you said works fine. For the archives, one thing to be careful of:
zonecfg -z $zone remove fs
will remove all fs resources for the zone.
zonecfg -z $zone remove fs dir=/logs
will remove the fs resource that has the dir property set to "/logs".
