SYS is a super user, why you need to connect ODBC System DSN as SYS. You should not connect ODBC as SYSDBA at first place.1 person found this helpful
I am writing an automated installation script that requres DBA access in order to create user accounts (schemas), tablespaces, etc. I need to log into Oracle as 'SYS' and the application uses ODBC to connect to the database.
Can u explain u r question bit clear,Still am confused :(1 person found this helpful
Create a dedicated account and grant it the DBA role, then connect using this account. You should not use SYS account1 person found this helpful
I see your point. I will create an account with DBA role (as you suggest) and see how that works. Thanks.
