The problem is i cannot connect to oracle databse through VS 2012,please tell me which "Oracle Data Provider" or "Oracle Client" suites best in case of Oracle Database 11gR2[64bit] and VS-2012[32bit] , on Win - 7[64bit] platforml.
No Oracle version is supported on any Windows Home Edition.
The root cause & fix are external to Oracle.
You never get to the listener, so Oracle is NOT involved with your issue.
The Oracle client you need is here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/windows/downloads/index-101290.html
Note that I'm not sure database explorer is going to work or not, since you're using Express Edition of Visual Studio. The Oracle Developer Tools are an extension and thus don't work in Express Edition, but some of the screens do still work if all you need to do is pick an ADO.net data source.

What else do i need to install, in order to Add a new database connection through Visual Studio 2012's Database Explorer. Please guide me , and if possible post the download link ;)
Thanks in advance !!
We only integrate with Server Explorer and only with the "paid for" editions of Visual Studio -- not the express editions.
