How are you running your procedure? This will determine how we set show wait to true.
for the mean time you can add the below CSSto your HTML header in the page attributes:
It should stop the users clicking around.
Good question. Here's how the page executes the procedure.
1. There is a button the user clicks to submit the page.
2. Under Page Processing, in the Processing section, there is a PL/SQL process that contains the logic that consumes ~15 seconds. FWIW, that PL/SQL process contains approximately 2,500 lines of code.
Does that alter the recommendation of how to display a (hopefully animated) "Please Wait" widget?
Just edit your button to change the target to Redirect to URL and enter the below code

One of my pages executes a procedure that can take ~15 seconds to complete. Leary of impatient users clicking on buttons unnecessarily, is there an animated "Please Wait" facility available in Apex that I can display while the procedure is running?
Is the next page view or user action actually dependent on the completion of this process? If not, the process can be run in the background using the package<tt>apex_plsql_job</tt> package.
Why does the process take so long? Could it be speeded up?
That is fantastic. Thank you !!!!
