I earned my OCP in 11g PL/SQL 2 months ago. I'm looking for advice on how to get ahead from here i.e add to my certification arsenal.Taking at look at the view all certifications page:
I understand there is no OCM for PL/SQL developers, for reasons which have been explained by Oracle in their [blog |https://blogs.oracle.com/certification/entry/0860_01]. And I suppose it will be a while before the PL/SQL exams for 12c are released, as I cannot find it in the exam list.
Also I do not intend to change track to DBA, I would like to stay in the Applications/Development area.
I would like some advice on what other certifications I can complete to help me in my career - prefer something which will be useful in current industry trends.
.... Under the section:
Database Application Development
Note the certifications:
* Oracle Certified Expert, Oracle Database 11g Release 2 SQL Tuning
* Oracle Database SQL Certified Expert
* Oracle Certified Professional, MySQL 5 Developer
* Oracle Application Express Developer Certified Expert
Also further down .. and arguably in decline (though seemingly refusing to die):
* Oracle Certified Professional, Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Forms Developer
Companies often look for people that have both Java and PL/SQL knowledge. These might be worth considering.
