It will use the address, not the name, so you should be good to go. Trust but Verify. ( in other words, test, test and TEST some more).

Include vip entry in */etc/hosts* file or in DNS
# srvctl modify nodeapps -n m-lrkdb1 -A m-lrkdb1-vip/255.255.255.0/eth0
# srvctl modify nodeapps -n m-lrkdb2 -A m-lrkdb2-vip/255.255.255.0/eth0
For example : entry in /etc/hosts file
10.19.62.49 m-lrkdb1-vipNote: make sure m-lrkdb1-vip, m-lrkdb2-vip is resolving.
