Hello all,

I have recently installed apex 4.2.1, I am using windows 7 professional and oracle 11.2.0.1.0 oracle version.

I want to know how do i view all tables in my database in apex & how can i create a simple report out of my existing tables in database ,

any step by step link will be a great help.

    There are a couple of ways to do this.

    You can see all of the tables in your Apex work schema through the SQL utility. You can see tables in your database (everything that exists) by querying DBA_TABLES if your Apex work schema has DBA privilege.

    If you have a recent version of SQL*Developer it has Apex support built-in. Using it is sometimes easier than using the SQL utility.

    How can i verify whether apex user has dba privileges, or hw could i grant the privileges

    I do not understand what you mean by that.
    But APEX user is not same as database user. These links might help

    Can you select from the DBA_* views, like DBA_TABLES? Or better, check the grants in DBA_ROLE_PRIVS for your apex user

    You don't need dba role for that instead use all_objects,all_tables ...etc.
