I am trying to add a new server into an existing server pool.
I have the same agent password, the same root password (i don't think is important).
It disovers the server and is on unassigned Servers.
When trying to add into existing server pool it fail with:
Job Internal Error (Operation)com.oracle.ovm.mgr.api.exception.FailedOperationException: OVMAPI_4010E Attempt to send command: dispatch to server: vmsibm2 failed. OVMAPI_4004E Server Failed Command: dispatch https://?uname?:?firstname.lastname@example.org:8899/api/2 configure_server_for_cluster lun /dev/mapper/35000144f85151729 0004fb0000050000c696b251dc81a087 , Status: org.apache.xmlrpc.XmlRpcException: exceptions.OSError:[Errno 2] No such file or directory
1. Install vm server with known agent password, and in the same netrwork.
2. From vm manager, discover server and it shows it in Unassigned Servers.
3. Drag and drop server to virtual pool.
4. error above
Then I tried to restart all other servers and try to add to the server pool again, nut also with no success.
Then at the storage tab, SAN Servers, Add remove admin servers, I added this server also for both storages. Didn't solve the problem (same error)
When I go to Server pool -> Add/remove Servers I don't see the new server in left side....
When you create server pools you assign a virtual IP and a shared filesystem path for the virtual pool information. If you server does not have access to the shared pool storage path.... you will not be able to add it. Are you using NFS pools?
I can see your point...
From my error :Server Failed Command: dispatch https://?uname?:?email@example.com:8899/api/2 configure_server_for_cluster lun /dev/mapper/35000144f85151729 0004fb0000050000c696b251dc81a087 , Status: org.apache.xmlrpc.XmlRpcException: exceptions.OSError:[Errno 2] No such file or directory
/dev/mapper/35000144f85151729 is the path where the server pool uses for it's own...
0004fb0000050000c696b251dc81a087 is the Pool file System...
On storage menu, at SAN Servers - Unmanaged iSCSI Storage Array - where I see my storage wich is with iSCSI at Add/Remove Admin Servers I added this new server.
Also I went to Rescan Physical Discks for my new server.
When I go with putty on my server and run
I don't see any storage...
I belive I missed one step but I can't find wich one...
Because we needed to reinstall vm manager, our storage iscsi server was under unmanaged iscsi storage array.
Now I rediscovered the iscsi storage array and I could refresh it.
After refresh I could add my new server as Admin server and make refresh phisical disks.
Afetr refresh of phisical disks I could add my new server to the server pool..
