How do you get CURL to work with Oracle Linux?
I can't find php5-curl or php-curl in the Repository?
If you are actually talking about cURL, the default php package in OL6 includes cURL support without any additional RPMs:
# yum install curl
$ php -i | grep cURL cURL support => enabled cURL Information => 7.19.7
I tried that and it didn't work with the backup plugins in wordpress. Still kept saying it couldn't find CURL.
This is the ERROR I get
Sorry there are some incompatibilities present
** CURL Permission error: You probably don't have permission to run curl locally. You will need to contact your hosting provider and ask them if "loopback HTTP requests are enabled."*

Different versions of Oracle Linux have different support for CURL. Since you did not provide which version of Oracle Linux you are using.... However, I'm not sure your problem is OS related. Perhaps see http://wordpress.org/support/topic/curl-help-needed.
