OS Hangs after displaying Memory for Crash kernel (0x0) notwithin...
Mar 4, 2013 4:02 PM
Please I use this Toshiba Satellite L655D that somehow generates this particular problem whenever I load oracle enterprise Linux 5 server grid infrastructure.
When I start the OS it runs for a while and then stops, displaying
"Memory for Crash kernel (0x0 to 0X0) not withing permissible range"
I re-formatted the system from Windows 7 home premium to ultimate but still the problem persists.
A forum suggest that I should check the
Enable IO APIC
from settings before booting which I did, only that when after it gets to desktop the enterprise manager and sqlplus refuses to work.
Please help me with this brain-draining problem. Thanks
I have the same question

I have the same issue. After installing the Developer Days VM appliance, I launched it and hit the same error upon startup. Any ideas?
I'm running a self-built Win7 SP1 desktop with 6 CPU cores, 8GB RAM and 1TB of disk.
