on the rugged handheld universe like intermec and motorola , handhelds have win mob 6.5 and will keep on for a long time (until they switch to android ofc)
win 8 is for consumer devices.
the thing you ask can be considered "pioneer" so i doubt you will find much around
Thanks. Change of the os and devices makes little difficult to re write existing .net apps to android etc...
i know what you mean. but why dont you try monodroid (it has changed name and it is called xamarin).
you can use it to write c# .net apps in android. you write in c# and it runs on android java based. our guys here already ported one of our apps so it plays on a rugged motorola tablet with android 4 and it runs ok. ofc you have to change the queries a little so they run with sql lite.
i want to point that the application we wrote with monodroid is not for olite ( i dont think there are many diffrences though), but im just saying that it is a good solution if you want to port excisting .net apps in android. better to port code than rewrite ....right?
