        In service request 3-3844944721 I was asked to open separate service requests for related questions, resulting in SR 3-4538099671 for (q2) and SR 3-4538099685 for (q4).
        (This is not a joke.)

        In the context of service request 3-4538099671 about (q2) the appreciation was that the documentation was incorrect,
        resulting in bug 13005778, "DOCUMENTATION ABOUT LOGIN AND LOGOUT LINKS INCORRECT".
        There is currently no feedback in service request 3-4538099685 about (q4).

        regards

          In the context of service request 3-4538099685 for (q4) the enhancement request 13256833, "IMPROVE LOGGING FOR NAVIGATION HANDLER ISSUES.", was filed.

            Recently noticed that bug 13005778 currently has "Status 99 - Closed, Documentation Bug Fixed " and "Fixed in Product Version 12.1.2.0.0 ".

            But see also documentation section "35.7.4 How to Redirect a User After Authentication"
            at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35521_01/web.111230/e16182/adding_security.htm#ADFFD19911
            where "Example 35-16 Explicit Login Link with success_url in a Web Page" shows
            <af:goLink text="Login" destination="/adfAuthentication?success_url=/faces/viewactivityname"/>
            and which includes a "Best Practice" note saying
            "To ensure that the Fusion web application handles the ADF authentication redirect as an ADF Controller navigation event, specify the redirect target by its view activity name. ..."

            regards
