I don't know if this is a Oracle VM 3.2.2 issue or not. Its just the version I'm trying it on. This the first time I've tried to add a port to bond0 and use link aggregation to bond the ports.
I can add the port and choose dynamic link aggregation. The job will run and never complete. The server will throw thousands of errors to the console trying to activate the link. I ended up manually editing eth1 and including it as a slave. I works fine now. I've bonded hundreds of linux servers doing this before and it works if I manually edit the files in Oracle VM... but I could never get it to work with the VM manager.
Anyone run into this problem before?
Tried rebooting. The problem is the bond creation never finishes. I can manually add the necessary entries and it works fine. After this, I can remove the bond partner via VM Manager and it will remove the entries, but the manager will never properly create them. Thanks for the info.
I took that to mean that Sparc can't do adaptive load balancing or Active Backup. Maybe I'm wrong but it appears to fit the following
It only lists LACP bonds or 802.3ad.
I know the kernel supports it and I know it works if I manually create it. I probably will open an SR on it if it keeps bugging me. Right now, I just gave up and configured the network differently.
Thanks for the help.
