How to capture load of different OS users on a single server?

Currently Being Moderated
I am using Database version -11.1.0.7 64-bit , I have three different instances on a single server and therefore have 3 different OS users.
When I run Top command , it shows overall load.
Is there any way to capture load statistics user wise?

    How 3 instances means 3 OS users? Did you run 3 instances whiled logged on 3 different users? Why can't you use a single user if all are running from same Oracle home to keep the things simple
    When I run Top command , it shows overall load.
    What do you mean by overload? Please paste here output of you "top" command.

    I belive "top" command should show you top users and to Os processes, hence top consumers.

    And i want to know which database is creating how much load during peak hours.

    please NOTE that line above shows system is 77.5% IDLE
    so what ever maybe the system bottleneck; it is NOT the CPU!

    It appears that this system has disk or I/O bottleneck.

    Here I see load average of 7 which seems a bit high (but depends on number of CPUs). If you have less than 8 CPUs, this load average is high and your CPUs are bottlenecked. You ave 24G RAM? What is SGHA settings for all of your 3 instances? From the output of TOP command, I see that top consumer is user "oracle", which is probably production instance runner, but, for detailed information at OS level, probably you need to put question in some Linux forum about how to extract OS user wise resources consumption on Linux Salman

    what about the 77.5% IDLE measurement?

    Here it means a lot of runnable processes in the queue waiting for the CPUs. Runnable processes run in very short time, hence CPU % busy is quite smalle.

    CPU % busy and Idle does not show you how much CPU requirement is on the system, but load average does. If you have 4 CPUs, a load average of 7 means that 7 processes are in the queue to acquire the CPU and waiting. If you have 8 CPUs, this does not mean a bottleneck.
    CPU busy% and idle% is really a different thing and calculated differently (theoritically a CPU is either 100% busy, "1" (in binary) or 0% busy "0" (in binary).

    So, for CPU bottleneck, we need to look at the load average.

    How do you know IO is bottleneck? Please show any report which shows that IO is bottleneck.
