Thanks in advance for your help.
I've changed the folder structure of my dashboard/reports (basically all the folders were under 'Shared' folder, now I've created a top level folder under shared folder and moved everything underneath it).
But since i did this, I am not seeing my dashboards in OBIEE. I am clicking on dashboard and nothing shows up !!!
I checked permissions in catalog manager and assigned BI Administrator role to all the folders, have restarted EM but to no avail.
Please note, if i go to the folders (under shared folder) i can bring up the dashboards by going to dashboard folder.
Appreciate any suggestion.
You have to change the XML from Catalog Manager to correct path
Presentation Services could not recognize the paths of All The Dashboard related Objects So thats Why You could not see that
If you have any Action links you have to Manually set those paths again
Hi, thanks for your response.
Actually i already updated the xml files using catalog manager to reflect the new path, but still same issue.
Could this be related to permission issue ? FYI, i have BIAdministrator role assigned to all the dashboards.
Thanks for your response and offer.
I won't be able to share screenshots due to certain restrictions, but should i expect to _portal folder in my catalog manager ? Also are you suggesting that my dashboards should reside under that ?
Please note i am using OBIEE 11g and i am not seeing any _portal folder in my catalog manager (trust it should be under the parent folder).
_portal is the system folder you might need to check a box to see those folders. If you dont see it then I assume you are looking using Answers screen. Try to use catalog manager or windows explorer if possible.
samplesales is my catalog name
at this you see all dashboard what you see on in BI
In most cases reports are saved at location
FYI: samplesales\root\shared\sample+sales\_filters is the place holder for any saved filters.
Hope this gives some direction.
Awesome suggestions. Thanks
I am actually looking at catalog manager only and I don't see any option in Catalog Manager to enable _portal.
Could this be related to permissions issue ? The reason i ask is because these dashboards were created as user named, 'Administrator' in 10g and it was eventually migrated to 11g. In my 11g environment I have the weblogic default user (i.e. weblogic) which i am using to access and modify the folder structures using catalog manager.
So my question is that do I need to create a user called 'Administrator' in weblogic and give the user permission to the dashboards in order for me to see _portal folder path.
(basically all the folders were under 'Shared' folder, now I've created a top level folder under shared folder and moved everything underneath it)
Go step by step
1.Where was the Dashboard originally located?? Just forget about the New folder you 've created and see if there is any _Portal folder the original folder underneath that..
EX: Shared Folders-->Folder1(You created)-->*Folder2(Original)-->_Portal*
