    Attachment Functionality in SubInventory Form

    Rajeev R
      Hi

      We want to capture additional Notes in the subinventory transfer form when the item is moved from one subinventory to another subinventory. We are making use of Reason and Reference available in subinventory form but need Notes/Attachments to be enabled so that the user can enter additional information.

      Pl let me know if someone has enabled /used Attachment functionality in Subinventory / Inventory Transaction.

      Thanks
      Rajeev

            Hi,

            You cant do it on the subinventory transfer form, as it is always a transient data (Undocumented transfer)
            You can achieve the same by using Move Order functionality.
            You can create Move Order Attach documents to it, while transacting you can also specify reason/reference, etc.

            Once the transaction is done, you can review the documents in two forms, Move Order Form and on Material Transactions Form (With a little extra setup).

            Thanks,
            Hrishikesh

                Mahendar,
                Check this note
                Resource Form Attachment Functionality is not Working [ID 266016.1]

                As per our requirement we can enable this functionality in any form.

                Thanks
                Radha.

                  Hi,

                  1. Goto Application Developer Resp. Attachments -> Document Entities.
                  Create a new row:
                  table = MTL_TXN_REQUEST_HEADERS
                  entity_id = MOVE_ORDER
                  Entity name = Move Order
                  prompt = Move Order
                  Application = Inventory
                  Save.

                  2. Goto Attachments -> Attachment Functions
                  Create new row:
                  Type = Function
                  Name = INV_INVTOMAI
                  User Name = Move Order
                  Ensure enabled check box is checked.

                  Goto Categories, Add category called 'Miscellaneous', ensure it is enabled.
                  Save.
                  Close Categories window.
                  Click Blocks

                  Block Name = TOMAI_MAIN_HEADER_BLK
                  MEthod = Allow Change
                  Click Entities Button.

                  Create New row:
                  Entity = Move Order
                  Display Method = Main Entity
                  include in indicator = checked

                  privileges tab : Query Always, Insert Always, Update Always, Delete Always
                  primary key fields : key1 = TOMAI_MAIN_HEADER_BLK.HEADER_ID

                  Step 2 will allow addition of attachments on Move Order form.

                  Step 3 is required to view these attachments in forms other Move Order form, i.e. mainly in Material Transactions Form.

                  3. Goto Attachments -> Attachment Functions
                  Create new row:
                  Type = Function
                  Name = INV_INVTVTXN
                  User Name = View Transactions
                  Ensure enabled check box is checked.

                  Goto Categories, Add category called 'Miscellaneous', ensure it is enabled.
                  Save.
                  Close Categories window.
                  Click Blocks

                  Block Name = RESULTS
                  MEthod = Query Only
                  Click Entities Button.

                  Create New row:
                  Entity = Move Order
                  Display Method = Related Entity
                  include in indicator = unchecked

                  privileges tab : Query Always, Insert Never, Update Never, Delete Never
                  primary key fields : key1 = RESULTS.TRANSACTION_SOURCE_ID

                  Once step 3is done, we can view the attachments on move order issue/transfer transactions.

                  (I had requirement only for move order, if you requirements for more source types, you can add condition in privileges tab
                  something like RESULTS.TRANSACTION_SOURCE_TYPE_ID = 4 )

                  Thanks
                  Hrishikesh
