      Hello Forum Member
Is it is possible Oracle dataguard can failover (Unpalnned) without resetlogs option.

      Regards

That means always have to open with resetlogs option , if that is the case

What is a "Planned failover" ? This would be a switchover in most shops.

Maybe you should read about the differences.

                    HI
I am not asking about switcover (Planned) , I am asking about unplanned failover.
In the second method , resetlogs option is used automatically if dataguard is monitored
                    by Broker.
Is there is a way to avid this resetlogs option.
                    For example:
Unpalnned failover using shutdwon abort on primary database.

                    Thanks
