1) What should LOG_ARCHIVE_MAX_PROCESS be set when setting up DG(22.214.171.124)?
2) Does increasing LOG_ARCHIVE_MAX_PROCESS fasten up the apply process?
3) Logs at standby db are being made by LGWR not by ARCH. Would it still help us increasing the number of LOG_ARCHIVE_MAX_PROCESS?

If there was only one right answer ... you wouldn't have an option to set a value.
So the answer to your question is ... read the docs at http://tahiti.oracle.com and set your values appropriate to the documented advice.
