Hi All,

Is there a way to export/import jdeveloper( 11.1.1.5.0) preferences. so that the same configuration can be made in all machines.

    Hi.

Through the IDE, it is only possible to import / export the Code Style settings (Code Editor category of the Preferences). However, you could extract the settings from the JDeveloper user settings directory and copy them on every developer workstation.

Unless you have set the JDEV_USER_DIR and JDEV_USER_HOME environment variables, those settings are located here on a Windows machine:

    - C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\JDeveloper (Windows XP)
    - C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\JDeveloper (Windows 7 / 8)

For JDev 11.1.1.5, look inside the system11.1.1.5.x directory.

The settings you are looking for are spread over the directories whose name starts with « o.ide ».

    Best Regards,

    Frédéric.

Still not all preferences can be saved easily. Some re hidden in xml files.
