I have done to many oel and ovs install lately such that they are blurring together...
On the OVM 3.2.1 install watch closely for a place to add support for non local storage. I remember seeing a small prompt in some of the installs but it may have been from some of the OEL installs (I have also been doing OEL 4, 5, & 6) & not OVM.
Sorry I can't remember right now. If I get a moment and try to run the install process I will and report back if no one else does.
Thanks for your reply.
The install said that I need to add 'linux asknetwork' at the boot: prompt. So I tried that like this:
boot: mboot.c32 xen.gz 'linux asknetwork' --- vmlinuz --- initrd.img
but it didn't work either.
That may be what I was remembering. In my Blades I have been installing OVS to mirrored local boot drives and then mounting shared storage via FC HBAs so I really didn't have a need to pay attention or test that and have been just quickly skipping those areas... Up till now we have only used FC & not iSCSI and always to boot drives so Sorry I couldn't help further. If I come across something I will try to remember to post back.
We have found the same problem with a Cisco Blade. Is there any solution for this identified?
Sorry Sergio. I have not found a solution for this. I ended up using the Blade's internal drive. Still waiting for anyone who may have the answer.
