OBIEE silent install with customized domain and server names

Hi,

I am trying to develop and unattended install for OBIEE (11.1.1.6.8) in an existing weblogic domain, but got stuck.
When installing using wlst and the delivered templates i do not get an application stripe and instances,
and alternative approach using the config.sh script in the oracle_home does not enable me to install OBIEE in an existing domain,
not it does give me possibilities to use any other domain and server names than bifoundation_domain and bi_server1.
It seems that the config.sh/runInstaller uses ant scripts in the oracle_home/bifoundation/provision/scripts/bidomain directory.
Has anyone experience using these ant tasks creating an unattended OBIEE install ?

Cheers Peter

Using the normal response files won't do the trick for you?

    Example:
    [ENGINE]

    #DO NOT CHANGE THIS.
    Response File Version=1.0.0.0.0

    [GENERIC]

#Set this to true if you wish to specify a directory where latest updates are downloaded. This option would use the software updates from the specified directory

    #

#If the Software updates are already downloaded and available on your local system, then specify the path to the directory where these patches are available and set SPECIFY_DOWNLOAD_LOCATION to true

    Hi Christian,

    No config.sh with a response file does;

    - Not allow you to install in an existing domain, only in a new domain created by the script
    - Creates a nodemanager
    - Not allow you to name the managed servers

There are 28 weblogic templates supplied with OBII 11.1.1.6.8, they should be of some use….
