      Hi there

I try to setup a Oracle DB an Application Express. Facts:

      Server: Windows Server 2008 R2 (64b)
      OracleDB: 11gR2
      Apex: 4.2

We worked with different Manuals and Walktroughs but now we have a Little Problem and hope for an Input from a pro.

      Step 1:

      START LISTENER

          Hello,

I had the same configuration and the same problem ...

You have to point the image folder of APEX installation to the static folder of listener.

When you run the "java -jar apex.war" for the first time you are getting some configuration questions. The tricky one is at the end.

Enter the APEX static resources location or Enter to skip:/ opt/oracle/app/oracle/apex/images (You need to answer with the path to the image folder inside the APEX installation.)

I hope that this will help!

          GM

PS. APEX installation folder is the folder you unzip the apex zip that you download from oracle... (I was looking for that also...)

            Hi !!,

run the "apxldimg.sql" script to load the images,

            SQL> @apxldimg.sql

            saludos!!!

You need to read the installation guide that comes with your version of the listener.

              Step 1:

              START LISTENER
              C:\Temp\Oracle\apex_listener.2.0.0.268.17.04>java -jar apex.war
              Step 2

After a few seconds, the tab in de browser change his Name to "Application Express Login" but the browser just displays a blank page.
Check the page 'source' - there is probably HTML code there, mainly referring to Javascript and images that are not being displayed? This indicates that you haven't followed the steps referring to loading images.
              Step 3

              Internet Explorer: http://localhost:8080/apex/listenerconfigure
This indicates that you are reading the wrong guide - APEX listener doesn't have a listenerConfigure page from version 2 onwards. You configure the listener from the command line or SQLDeveloper.
