Blank APEX 4.2 screen with APEX Listener using weblogic

Hello,

There are several of this problem on here, but none I saw with weblogic. I installed Apex 4.2 in our test instance, copied the images over to our weblogic server to create the war file, but get a blank screen when accessing APEX development environment.
I configured the listener to our database with no problem, but just can't get a screen in
http://<our weblogic server>:8790/apex_test/f?p=4550:1

The 4.2 images should be in the correct place because this ...
http://<our weblogic server>:8790/i_test/apex_version.txt
... gives me this
Application Express Version: 4.2

Our production and pre-production are APEX 4.1 and have no problem.

Production:
http://<our weblogic server>:8888/i/apex_version.txt
Application Express Version: 4.1.1

pre-producrion:
http://<our weblogic server>:8790/i_pprd/apex_version.txt
Application Express Version: 4.1.1

On our Linux weblogic server, I have the following dirctories for each instance:

/u01/apex (no problems)
apex_listener.1.1.4.195.00.12.zip
apex.war
i.war

/u01/apex_pprd (no problems)
apex_listener.1.1.4.195.00.12.zip
apex_pprd.war
i_pprd.war

I created the i.war and i_pprd.war files from /u01 where the images directory for APEX 4.1 are:
In /u01
for production:
jar -cvf0 apex/i.war -C images .
for pre-production
jar -cvf0 apex_pprd/i_pprd.war -C images .

/u01/apex_test (blank page problem)
apex_listener.1.1.4.195.00.12.zip
apex_test.war
i_test.war
images - directory of 4.2 images

I created i_test.war in this directory /u01/apex_test:
jar -cvf0 i_test.war -C images .

The war files are deployments in Weblogic using the same managed server.

In the web.xml file I have the foillowing, just like I have for production and pre-production.
<context-param>
<param-name>config.dir</param-name>
<param-value>/u01/apex_test</param-value>
</context-param>
that is zipped back up in the apex_test.war file.

Environment:
All 3 database instances are:
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64bit Production

Weblogic:
WebLogic Server Version: 10.3.5.0

Linux where weblogic server is:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.9

Same Linux version on the database server.

If anyone sees where I'm going wrong, some direction would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Wayne

    Walk through the installation instructions very carefully for any steps you might have missed.

    You might be on the right track. Blank screens occur with other listeners when someting is awry with the images.

    Did you remember to unlock the ANONYMOUS account?

    I don't recall any mention of the ANONYMOUS account, and both production and pre-production instances have that account locked. But I unlocked it in the TEST instance, but still a blank screen.
    In the Weblogic console, I delete both deployments ( apex_test.war and i_test.war ) and re-installed per the instructions. Also did the Security Realm steps for Roles and Policies.

    It's got to be something with images, some conflict somewhere. But I have them separated and my jar commands when re-creating apex_test.war and i_test.war used absolute path names on the last install. Plus the http://<our weblogic server>:8790/i_test/apex_version.txt gives me: Application Express Version: 4.2

    I'll keep digging as time permits. Maybe I'll shutdown pre-production and try test again. Maybe apex_listener.1.1.4.195.00.12.zip doesn't work with APEX 4.2.

    Thanks,

    Did you tell your 4.2 instance that it is supposed to be getting its images, Javascript etc. from i_test rather than i?

    Unbeleivable. My own documentation even makes this clear when installing APEX:

    @apexins APEX APEX TEMP /i/ - production instance ORACLE_SID=LCCC
    @apexins APEX APEX TEMP /i_test/ - test instance ORACLE_SID=TEST
    @apexins APEX APEX TEMP /i_pprd/ - pre-production instance ORACLE_SID=PPRD

    And I installed TEST with /i/

    Thanks - I marked this as answered.
